Hi, we're Etelka.
Etelka is named for the Hungarian word for nourishing. Our founder, Nicole Vereczkey, split her childhood between Hungary and the US, and túró, what we now call cottage cream, was simply part of life there. Smooth, protein-rich, and stirred into almost everything, from breakfast to snacks to dessert.
When Nikki started looking for it on grocery shelves in the US, she couldn't find it. Cottage cheese had the protein but came with curds and tang. Greek yogurt was thick but sour. Nothing matched what she grew up eating.
So she set out to make it herself, using an authentic European process and milk sourced directly from family farms, while keeping billions of live active cultures in every serving. The result is Etelka: a premium, no-curd, high-protein cultured dairy that delivers 18 grams of protein with no added sodium, sugar, or tang.
